Funeral of teenager takes place

Robert Barrington Gill The funeral of a student who died after a night out in Bedfordshire has taken place.

Robert Barrington Gill, 17, went missing on Boxing Day night after leaving a nightclub in Bedford.

Three teenagers have been charged with murder after his body was found in the River Ouse in early January.

His body left his home in Wilstead at lunchtime in a motorcycle sidecar hearse, followed by his family and a motorcycle cortege of 30 riders.

Two teenagers aged 15 and 17, who cannot be named, and 18-year-old Sean Downes, of Acacia Road, Bedford, are charged with murder, robbery and false imprisonment.

They are due before Luton Crown Court on 10 March.
