Murder trial jury is discharged
A murder trial jury has been unable to reach a verdict in the case of a woman accused of stabbing to death her partner during a domestic dispute.
Neil Wilkin, 36, died from heart failure following a single stab wound.
Bernadette Molloy, 47, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Wilkin at the house they shared in Mersey Way, Brickhill, Bedford, on 21 January.
But after nine hours, the Luton Crown Court jury said it was unable to agree on even a majority verdict.
The jury was discharged and Natalie Carter, prosecuting, said there would be a retrial.
