Four vehicles and ambulance crash

An ambulance answering a 999 call has been involved in a collision with four other vehicles in Bedfordshire.

Five people were hurt in the accident in Luton but none of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.

The crash involving a van and three cars happened in the early evening at the junction of Chapel Street and Farley Hill, by the Farley Arms pub.

Bedfordshire Police said its accident investigators will carry out a full inquiry into what happened.
