Man held over grandmother's death

Dorothy "Dolly" Cheval A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of an 84-year-old grandmother killed on her doorstep.

Dorothy "Dolly" Cheval was found on 26 July with head and body injuries outside her home in Merlins Court, Beaudesert, Leighton Buzzard, Beds.

Mrs Cheval was taken to hospital, but died of her injuries the following day.

The man, in his early 50s, from the Dunstable area is being held on suspicion of murder and is being questioned at a police station in Beds.

At the time of her murder police said it appeared to be an unprovoked attack.
