Childminder denies killing baby

A 40-year-old childminder has denied killing an 11-month-old baby who was in her care.

Keran Henderson of Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of Maeve Sheppard when she appeared at Reading Crown Court.

The baby died in March 2005 at an address in Iver Heath.

At Tuesday's court hearing Judge Zoe Smith set the trial for 5 February next year. A case directions hearing was listed for 6 November.
