Man in court on abduction charge

A man has appeared in court charged with child abduction and sexual grooming over the internet.

Mehdi Boudjedra, 30, of Askew Crescent, Shepherds Bush, London, was arrested on Friday by officers investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl.

The teenager, who went missing from her home in Hertfordshire last Wednesday, was found safe by police in a London park on Monday.

Mr Boudjedra was remanded in custody by magistrates in St Albans until 31 July.

He is charged with abducting the girl between 18 July and 22 July this year.
