Man suffers gunshot wound to leg

Armed police have been called to a street in Luton after a man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

Bedfordshire Police officers were called to Beadlow Road in the Lewsey Farm area of the town in the early hours of Friday morning.

They found a man, who is in his 30s, with a leg wound.

He was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, but his injury is not considering life-threatening. Police are appealing for information.

Police said at present they are not sure exactly where the shooting took place.
