Police officers face no charges

Two police officers arrested on suspicion of misfeasance in a public office will not be charged, police say.

Two officers, from Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, were arrested in March during an investigation into organised crime in Northampton.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said the officers will face no charges.

The spokeswoman said the Northamptonshire officer is still subject to an internal investigation and remains suspended from duty.

Operation Landslide saw a series of addresses raided by more than 40 officers during the space of several weeks.

The operation was among the largest ever mounted by Northamptonshire Police, and was supported by officers from the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire forces.
