Simon Sneddon

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a man in County Durham.

Simon Sneddon, 25, of no fixed address, was found dead at a property in Forster Street, Darlington, on Friday. He had suffered severe head and body injuries.

Police said a 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Darlington, were arrested on Monday.

Philip Nichol, 19, of no fixed address appeared in court on Monday charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on 28 November.

Mr Sneddon was originally from the Barnard Castle area, but had been staying at a number of addresses in County Durham and on Teesside before his death.
