Woman is charged over fatal crash

A31 crash

A 62-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a roadside mechanic was killed as he helped a motorist.

Terry Booth, 58, of Golf Links Road, Ferndown, Dorset, died in the collision involving three vehicles on the A31 at Poulner Hill, near Ringwood, Hampshire.

He was working on a Peugeot 309 on 12 June when the crash happened.

The woman, from Leeds, West Yorkshire, was bailed to appear at New Forest Magistrates' Court on 21 November.

The female driver of the Peugeot sustained a minor head injury in the crash.
