Motorway death crash victim named

A man who died in a crash on the M1 has been named by police.

Timothy Corby, 63, of Newbury, Berkshire, died when his Mercedes left the motorway and hit a concrete pillar on Wednesday afternoon.

A 59-year-old man was taken to the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, by air ambulance. His injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.

A 15-year-old boy also received serious injuries. The southbound carriageway was shut for eight hours.
