Warning over rail journey changes

Passengers travelling on East Midlands Trains are being warned to allow extra time for some journeys as a programme of signal work begins.

Services between Liverpool Lime Street and Nottingham and Norwich will be diverted when they pass through Sheffield and Nottingham.

Replacement buses will be running during the diversions.

Some services to London will also be affected until 7 September and passengers should check details.

Network Rail will be carrying out essential signal work on various routes in the East Midlands.
