Warning over stolen hair products

A warning has been issued over potentially dangerous hair straighteners stolen in a burglary in County Durham.

Police said 70 SPC ceramic straighteners were taken from a garden shed in Spennymoor.

The electrical goods, produced with two-pin plugs for sale in Asia, can be dangerous if used with an adaptor, a police spokesman said.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police.

Sgt Jamie Riley, of Durham Police, said: "Obviously the thieves will be trying to sell their haul and people should be aware of the danger they pose."
