Stripping supply teacher banned

A supply teacher was caught on video stripping off and parading semi-clothed in front of his teenage students.

The film of the English teacher dancing topless in front of a class of 13 and 14-year-olds was then posted on the YouTube website.

David Forrest, headteacher of Sudbury Upper School and Arts College, Suffolk, where the incident happened, declined to name the middle-aged supply teacher.

The teacher was banned from working in Suffolk County Council schools.

A spokesman for Suffolk County Council said: "As soon as the headteacher was made aware of the incident, the supply teacher in question was asked to leave the school premises immediately.

"The matter was also reported immediately to the supply agency who employed him."

The teacher was employed through a Hertfordshire agency.

Mr Forrest said he had seen the video footage soon after the incident, which happened two months ago, before it was posted on the website.
