Drivers rescued from flood waters

Two drivers have been rescued after becoming trapped on flooded roads in Buckinghamshire.

Fire crews used a rescue boat to free a woman in Thornborough after flooding occurred near Buckingham on Tuesday.

A man was rescued after he became stuck in water and his car had to be abandoned in Ox Lane Bridge, Padbury.

The Environment Agency has issued a warning that there is a danger of flooding on low-lying land and roads along the River Great Ouse.

An area from Brackley in Northamptonshire to Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire is affected.

Motorists are advised if water comes up to their bumper to avoid the road, a spokesman for Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
