Man dies following car accident

A man has died after a car accident on the Birmingham/Staffordshire border.

The incident happened on the southbound A38 between Weeford and Bassett's Pole on Friday evening.

"Initial reports suggested a single car had overturned on the dual carriageway and the driver was trapped," an ambulance service spokesman said.

Crews from the Birmingham, Black Country and Staffordshire areas attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
