Three MPs from opposing parties have set up a joint inquiry into delays on trains because of power line problems.
Tory Richard Bacon, Labour's Ian Gibson and Lib Dem Norman Lamb are to hold a committee-style inquiry in Norwich on 15 December.
Representatives of train operating companies, Network Rail and passenger groups will give evidence.
Problems with overhead lines in Essex in September affected passengers travelling to Suffolk and Norfolk.
The MPs are inviting the public to attend the inquiry at the King's Centre in King Street starting a 0900 GMT.
Frustrated by service
Dominic Booth, managing director of train operator One, Jon Wiseman of Network Rail and Guy Dangerfield of Passenger Focus will be among those attending.
Norwich North MP Ian Gibson said: "The Norwich to London line has got steadily worse and there doesn't seem to be any obvious attempt to sort things out.
"This inquiry will ask the tough questions to those in charge and get the answers and action much-needed by the rail users."
North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb said: "This is an important opportunity to put pressure on both One and Network Rail to improve standards and reliability."
South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon said: "Many of my constituents are deeply frustrated by the poor punctuality and reliability of the One train service.
"Members of the public with particular experiences they want to pass on should get in touch with the inquiry as soon as possible."
