Investigation after factory fire
A factory on a County Durham industrial estate has been badly damaged by fire.
Fire crews were called to the Katell site at Millennium Way at Aycliffe Industrial Park early on Saturday.
The unit, which produces surrounds for fireplaces, was found to be well alight, and at the height of the blaze six appliances were in attendance.
Only the office block escaped damage, and officers remained at the scene damping down on Saturday lunchtime. An investigation will begin on Monday.
