Families and friends of murder victims are gathering in Newcastle on Saturday for a memorial service to remember their loved ones.
Members of the North of England Victims' Association (Neva) will join the all-denomination service in St Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral.
The Lord Mayor of Newcastle, and mayors of the other four Tyne and Wear local authorities are also attending.
It is the fourth annual service organised by Neva founder David Hines.
Mr Hines launched Neva following the murder of his 22-year-old daughter Marie, who was killed in her own home by a former partner on 28 June 1992.
Killer Anthony Davison was jailed for life in 1993.
Mr Hines aimed to unite the families of murder and manslaughter victims, and Neva is the UK's only organisation fighting solely for families affected by murder.
As well as the families of local victims, people from all over the country are expected to attend.
