First Great Eastern is assessing the cost of a fire that brought chaos for thousands of East Anglian passengers on Wednesday.
The rail operator said services for most passengers should be back to normal on Thursday morning.
But some rail travellers in Essex faced new disruption.
Problems with overhead supplies on WAGN services between Bethnal Green and Hackney forced diversions via Stratford.
More cancellations
First Great Eastern said it was causing more delays and cancellations on some routes.
Wednesday night's blaze, which is being treated as suspicious, ripped through two train carriages in sidings at Colchester in Essex and damaged signal cabling.
An investigation has begun into the fire which was spotted by fire crews returning from a previous call-out.
Crews had to stand by for an hour while railway authorities switched off overhead power lines and then earthed the cables for safety reasons.
