Woman denies dog attack charges

Jean Bernadette Harvey, 23, pleaded not guilty to two offences under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act.

Leah Preston was left permanently scarred after she was set upon by a pair of bull mastiff cross-breeds in her family's front garden in May last year.

The girl suffered bite wounds to her legs and buttocks and has had to undergo extensive plastic surgery.

Dogs destroyed

The dogs, called Kaiser and Gina, have since been put down.

Ms Harvey, of Hawksford Crescent, Low Hill, was remanded on unconditional bail at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court.

She was ordered to appear before the same court on 18 February.
