Crews tackle Leeds bedsit fire
Two Green Goddesses were called to a blaze at a bedsit in the Harehills area of Leeds early on Wednesday morning.
The crews from Colton Barracks were sent to the fire at Conway Place shortly after midnight.
One team of soldiers wearing breathing apparatus went into the property while another tackled the fire.
No-one was injured in the incident and the bedsit was empty when the crews arrived.
Across the county, the Green Godesses responded to just 36 call-outs in one of the quietest nights since the eight-day strike began.
The West Yorkshire control centre took its 500th call, dealing with a car fire on a building site in Bradford.
