The parents of murdered schoolgirl Amanda Dowler plan to set up a charity aimed at giving youngsters advice on personal safety.
Bob and Sally Dowler have named the charity - Milly's Fund - in honour of their 13-year-old daughter, who went missing in March while walking home from Walton-on-Thames railway station, Hampshire.
Her body was found 25 miles away in remote woodland near Fleet last month.
A Surrey police spokesman said: "There is going to be a charity to educate
young people about personal safety."
He said it would be launched on Tuesday, when a memorial service is to be held
for Milly at Guildford Cathedral, Surrey.
Police are still appealing for two potential witnesses seen near to the site where Milly's remains were found.
A man with a shovel who was seen in Yateley Heath forest on 24 March, three days after Milly vanished.
He was wearing a thigh-length, green parka-like jacket with a hood and was
spotted near the Ely pub on the A30.
A second man was sighted near a roundabout on the exit route from Elvetham Heath Estate going towards Ancells Farm Estate, shortly after 1100 BST on either 27 or 28 March.
