Sussex Police said on Thursday that a second of its officers was arrested on 9 August on suspicion of possible internet child pornography offences.
On Wednesday it was revealed one officer from the Sussex force and one from the Metropolitan Police had been arrested in connection with the investigation.
The arrests came after FBI agents tapped into United States-based web sites containing indecent images of children and collected the names of credit card subscribers.
'Possible offences'
The FBI agents then sent a list of thousands of British internet users suspected of subscribing to the sites to police forces in the UK.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "I can confirm that a Sussex officer was arrested on Friday 9 August in connection with possible internet child pornography offences.
"He was based in Brighton, bailed and suspended from duty pending further inquiries."
Computer equipment
The second Sussex officer was arrested for possessing child porn after indecent images were allegedly found on a computer seized from his home in Bexhill.
The Metropolitan Police officer, a 26-year-old from Camden, was arrested at his north London home on suspicion of making indecent images of children.
Police seized computer equipment during a raid on the house.
Both were suspended from duty, and both have been released on bail.
