Poldark's final story

The Poldark stories have been screened in 22 countries

The new book, called Bella Poldark, will be the 12th volume of the tales, set in 18th Century Cornwall, that have been written by 92-year-old Winston Graham.

He said he started writing the latest book because he loved the characters involved.

But despite the writing being a labour of love he has vowed that the book will be the last.

Global attraction

The Poldark story has been screened in 22 countries and the tales of Ross and Demelza Poldark have been translated into dozens of languages.

The stories have captivated people across the globe and soon there will be another chapter in one of the Duchy's most famous literary creations.

Enthusiasts from around the globe travel to Cornwall to see the settings of the Poldark novels.

The county could now be set to attract more visitors because of the new book.
