Swine flu: Country by country

The World Health Organization (WHO) says the spread of swine flu has become a global pandemic. Cases have now been confirmed in 170 countries and territories around the world, and the illness has caused deaths in 134. For more see our swine flu special report.

After 6 July 2009, the WHO stopped producing detailed worldwide figures. For subsequent updates to the interactive map below, the source data is taken from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
