Mother pleads for child's return

Clark Rockefeller and Reigh Boss

The mother of a seven-year-old girl who was allegedly snatched by her father during a supervised visit to the US has appealed for her return.

London-based Reigh Storrow Boss went missing during a visit to father Clark Rockefeller in Boston on Sunday.

In the appeal, her mother suggests there are "better ways" for the couple to resolve their differences.

Mr Rockefeller and his daughter were last seen being dropped off at New York's Grand Central Station.

In the internet video appeal, released by Boston Police Department, Sandra Boss asks him to return their daughter, who has the nickname "Snooks".

She said: "We both love her dearly and have only her best interests and well-being at heart.

"I ask you now, please, please bring Snooks back. There has to be a better way for us to solve our differences than this way."

Arrest warrant

Speaking to her daughter, she added: "I love you, I miss you so much, and remember, you're always a princess."

Boston police have issued an arrest warrant for Mr Rockefeller on charges of custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

They said Mr Rockefeller uses a variety of aliases including J.P. Clark Rockefeller, James Frederick, Clark Mill Rockefeller and Michael Brown.

He does not belong to the Rockefeller dynasty that earned its fortune in the oil industry.

The missing girl's mother, Ms Boss, works for McKinsey & Co in London.

She is a Harvard graduate who has worked for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and is also on the board of The Mount, author Edith Wharton's estate.
