Police hunt sports centre gunmen

Police lights A teenager is seriously hurt after being shot at a sports centre in south-east London, police have said.

The victim, believed to be 18 years old, was shot at 1300 GMT in the reception area of the council-run Flaxman Sports Centre in Camberwell.

The incident is being investigated by Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in the black community.

Police say they are seeking two black males wearing hooded tops. The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.

The sports centre in Carew Street is run by Lambeth Council.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist the inquiry is asked to call Trident on 020 8733 4774 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
