Vicky Hall police release man

A 22-year-old man has been released on police bail after being questioned about the murder of A-level student Vicky Hall.

She vanished while walking home from a nightclub in Felixstowe, Suffolk, in the early hours of 19 September.

Five days later her body was found in a water-filled ditch 25 miles away at Creeting St Peter, Suffolk.

Police believe that she may have been asphyxiated but a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

Crime scene

The man was arrested at his home on the outskirts of Felixstowe on Tuesday morning.

A woman, 21, and a man, 23, both from Trimley St Mary, were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Both were released without charge.

Despite widespread searches and numerous public appeals, police have been unable to find the dress, jacket and shoes Vicky was wearing when she disappeared.

Last week police called on anyone who may have noticed a partner or relative behaving unusually to get in touch.

Shortly before Christmas an Ipswich man was released without charge after twice being questioned about Vicky's murder.
