The sacking of Tony McNulty as immigration minister dominates headlines in Tuesday's papers.
The Daily Mirror, under the banner "Ministry of Mayhem", says Mr McNulty was moved sideways to a new job, like "shifting chairs on the Titanic".
But the Sun congratulates the home secretary for acting promptly.
The paper says Mr McNulty allowed a culture of bullying and sexual corruption to continue at Britain's immigration HQ.
Overseas torture
The Daily Express reports on what it calls "another Home Office blunder".
A High Court ruling said the office was wrong not to offer immediate medical attention to two asylum seekers who had been tortured in their home countries.
Now the paper fears an avalanche of similar compensation claims, costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The Independent views the case as an indictment of the way Britain deals with victims of overseas torture.
Tory call for happiness
David Cameron's call for more focus on happiness rather than wealth has sparked strong reaction in the press.
Jon Gaunt in the Sun calls the Tory leader an "upper class twerp".
The Daily Mirror calls Mr Cameron a "Tory Toff" and says he can afford to preach that there's more to life than money, because he's loaded.
But Martin Kettle in the Guardian offers some support, saying Mr Cameron's line "could be winning the next election for the Tories".
Blair in Iraq
The Independent has placed a picture of Tony Blair meeting the new Iraqi prime minister next to one of the aftermath of a car bomb attack in Baghdad.
On the front page it asks: "Which is the real Iraq?"
The Daily Express offers a different interpretation in a cartoon of the two leaders meeting.
In it Mr Blair tells Nouri al-Maliki: "If you think Iraq is a mess, you should see the British Home Office."
