Glamour model Jordan and her singer husband Peter Andre have had security increased around their family as police investigate a kidnap threat.
Scotland Yard said the measure was in place while officers from the kidnap unit investigated the threat to the model's two children.
The couple, who live near Uckfield, East Sussex, have an 11-month-old son and Jordan has a three-year-old son.
The News of the World reported that a gang planned to demand a £1m ransom.
The newspaper said the criminals were from London and abroad.
"Our specialist kidnap unit is investigating intelligence about a threat to kidnap and extra security has been put in place to help protect the family," a spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said.
A spokesman for Jordan, whose real name is Katie Price, did not comment on the threat or the increased security.
Jordan, 27, married singer Andre, 33, after the pair fell for each other on ITV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and wed last year.
