Obituary: Laura Webb

The way Laura Webb lived was an inspiration to others, said her family.

The 29-year-old from Islington in north London died in the explosion at Edgware Road.

"Laura was a wonderful young person and an example of how to live life," her family said.

"She was kind, loving and beautiful and all of us are better people for having had her in our lives."

Ms Webb was a personal assistant with the advertising company DDB Europe in Paddington and she lived with her boyfriend, Chris Driver.

Lindsay Freeman first met Ms Webb when they worked together at an interior design company near Hammersmith.

"Laura is a real loss to everyone who knew her, she was a wonderful person who was always smiling and bursting into fits of laughter!

"We went out for many lunches with friends Andrew, Jo and Sarah for a good gossip over a glass of wine and she always had a tale to tell.

"She was devoted to her partner Chris, always talking about him and supporting his music with great enthusiasm.

"Laura was a beautiful person with the most fantastic curly hair, she had a warm, kind and joyful spirit that loved life to the full; she leaves us all with loving memories."

Caring and sensitive

Alexandra Ricketts, who also used to work with Laura, said: "She always reminded me of an English rose.

"She was a beautiful girl inside and outside, very kind, caring and sensitive but funny and witty at the same time."

Another former colleague, Carrie Whitmore, said: "She is one person I have never forgotten and was sad to lose touch with. She was one of the sweetest and most genuine people I have ever known and she never failed to brighten up my day and keep me smiling through some really hard times.

"I am so sad for all her close family and friends and cannot imagine how tough this time must be for them, my thoughts go out to you."

Beloved sister

As well as her partner Chris, Ms Webb leaves her parents, her brothers Robert and David, her sister-in-law and two nephews, plus a network of close friends.

Robert, a public relations officer at Cardiff council, spent a week in London searching for his sister.

He told the South Wales Echo: "She was my beloved younger sister, so lovely and thoughtful.

"She was always there for us. She was fantastic and I will always remember her smiling."
