The unit was one of three set up in London in April as part of a new approach to murder cases that followed the bungled inquiry in the murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence.
Detective Chief Superintendent Barry Webb, is due to hand in its report to Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Trotter, the head of central area crime later on Monday.
The report will not be made public.
Meanwhile, the incident room in west London has handled more than 5,000 telephone calls, letters and faxes since Miss Dando's murder on 26 April.

Nobody has responded to police appeals for the driver of a Range Rover to come forward.
The car was spotted parked near the murder scene and speeding away down Fulham Palace Road minutes after the shooting.
The man in charge of the inquiry, Detective Chief Inspector Hamish Campbell, has said he is confident the murder will be solved and the Met's success rate is slightly better than the national average.
One in 10 murders in London remain unsolved.
