Ms Dando, 37, was shot in the head on the doorstep of her west London home on 26 April.
Her body was finally released on Wednedsay morning by the coroner after forensic tests, allowing her family to prepare a funeral.

West London Coroner Dr John Burton adjourned the initial inquest for a month after expressing "his gratitude to all those who were involved in seeking and in providing further information to assist the police in their investigation".
DCI Hamish Campbell, heading the investigation, had told the inquest at Fulham, west London, that the motive for the murder was as yet "unascertainable".
Offender profile
Police are still following up leads in the hunt for the killer of Ms Dando, who was shot on her doorstep in Fulham, west London, on 26 April.
Detectives have approached the National Crime Faculty at Bramshill in Hampshire to get advice on compiling a psychological profile of the suspect.

On Monday, Scotland Yard said it was drafting in more detectives to work on the inquiry.
The team, which will report directly to the head of the London Metropolitan Police, Sir Paul Condon, may suggest areas of inquiry that have been missed and new leads to be followed.
