Factory workers on the early shift found the body
Police are investigating the murder of a security guard outside a factory in Derbyshire.
The body of Jasvinder Singh Bohgan, 42, from Leicester was discovered outside the Thornton's factory in Belper at about 0400 BST on Sunday.
Two workers arriving for an early shift at the factory found the body.
Detectives say some kind of weapon was used in the killing, but have ruled out a firearm or knife.
Forensic examination
A post mortem examination revealed the victim died from severe head injuries.
Detective Superintendent Fran Muldoon from Derbyshire Police said they were keeping an open mind about the motive for the killing.
"At this stage we literally don't know so we have got be totally open, carry on making the investigations, carry on with the inquiries.
"The scene is being examined by forensic experts and we have got specialist search teams."
The factory on Derwent Street will remain closed on Monday while forensic teams continue their investigations.
Police say they want to hear from anyone who was in the area between 0200 BST and 0400 BST on Sunday.
