Essex girl hopes to break legs record
A 19-year-old office worker could step into the record books for having the longest female legs in the world.
Lisa Hall, 6ft 3ins tall, of Heybridge, Essex, says her legs measure 49 inches from hip to heel.
Her measurements are five inches longer than the woman listed as having the longest legs in the world by the Guinness Book of Records.
Finding trousers to fit is a nightmare
Lisa Hall
A spokesman for the Guinness Book of Records said German model Nadja Auermann - who has legs measuring 44 inches - had held the record since 1999.
He said Miss Hall had a good chance of becoming the new world record holder.
"To be listed in the book she would have to contact us so we can verify the claim. I would urge her to get in touch."
Model hopes
Miss Hall said she thought she could be a contender for the longest-legs title after reading about a Brazilian model, Giselle, with legs measuring more than 40 inches.
"I've always been tall and had long legs," she said.
"I read about this Brazilian model in the newspaper and I knew my legs were longer than hers.
"I've never heard of anyone having longer legs than me."
Miss Hall, who hopes to be model, said height was in her genes.
Mother Carol and father John are both over 6ft and her 16-year-old brother Tony already stands 6ft 4ins.
"There are advantages and disadvantages to being so tall," said Miss Hall.
"You get a lot of attention, which I quite like. But it can be hard getting clothes or fitting into a bath and things like that.
"I buy normal trousers and then wear them as three-quarter length ones."
