Facebook website outage resolved
An outage which knocked popular social networking site Facebook offline has been resolved.
The glitch, which saw many users unable to access their profiles, was not thought to have affected every country, according to a spokesperson.
Recent figures show that Facebook's popularity continues to grow, with nearly 125m unique users visiting the site in May alone.
The numbers put it ahead of its main rival MySpace which had 115m visitors.
"Some of our users had difficulties accessing Facebook today. The site has now been fully restored and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused," said a spokesperson for the site.
