Were you adopted as a baby?

Young child

More than 4,600 children were adopted in England and Wales in 2007, according to the Office of National Statistics. Were you adopted as a baby?

The reasons that children are put up for adoption are varied but Adoption UK says, of the children placed for adoption in 2008, 73% came from difficult or neglectful backgrounds.

Many babies who are adopted by adults in Britain also come from outside the UK.

In Britain the process continues to make headlines with celebrities like Madonna and Angelina Jolie adopting from around the world.

We are very keen to hear from people under the age of 35 who have been adopted.

Have you tried to trace or contact your biological parents? Do you want to know or have you found out why you were put up for adoption?

Please contact us using the form below. All correspondence is treated confidentially.
