Beijing air: Send your pictures

As the countdown to the Beijing Olympics continues, the city is still failing to meet international air quality standards, the BBC has found.

Using a handheld detector, the BBC found that the city's air failed to meet the WHO's air quality guidelines for airborne particles known as PM10 on six days out of seven.

Beijing insists that there is still time to improve the situation. The government has unveiled a series of emergency air-quality measures which will take cars off the streets and shut down building sites

Meanwhile the BBC is going to keep on testing the air in the run-up to the Games - to see how Beijing gets on with its clean-air promise.
