(L-R) French presidential candidates Nicolas Sarkozy, Francois Bayrou and Segolene Royal The French presidential election campaign is gathering momentum with just over a month to go before the first round of voting.

Recent polls show that centre-right candidate and Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy has a narrow lead over his Socialist rival, Segolene Royal, ahead of the 22 April election.

Centrist candidate Francois Bayrou trails Ms Royal, while far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen is stable in the polls with about 13% of voting intentions in the first-round vote.

Will you be voting in the French presidential election? Who do intend to vote for? What are the main issues at stake for France? Send us your comments.

We will be assembling a panel of voters to give us their opinions and predictions regularly ahead of the election. If you are interested in taking part in our interactive panel, please include some information about yourself and let us know if you have a video camera or a webcam.
