"This is just my way of portraying the fighting spirit and patriotism of the Americans during the September 11 period. I'm not an American, but the patriotism that the Americans have shown should be saluted. I came up with this design, just a way of showing and sharing my feelings for all those involved in the September 11 attacks."

Jeff Ord, Firemaster, Strathclyde Fire Brigade, Scotland

"I'm very proud of everything that the UK Fire Service has done for our colleagues in the United States, and their families."

Masaharu Yamagishi, Tokyo, Japan

"People and students who live all over the world should become peaceful. No more confrontation. No more fighting. And no more war. Let's be more good friends. I hope so."
