Bomb blast in Afghan capital

Reports from Afghanistan say a powerful bomb exploded in the capital, Kabul, late last night outside the offices of an aid agency and a newspaper run by a Pakistani religious group Al-Rasheed Trust which supports the ruling Taleban.

The reports, which come from witnesses, say the bomb shattered windows but caused little other damage.

No group has admitted planting the device.

The Taleban blame the northern-based opposition for the attack.

In recent months there have been a series of bomb blasts in Kabul including some outside the Pakistan embassy.
