Zardari seeks China co-operation

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing.

They signed a number of trade and economic co-operation agreements. It is unclear if nuclear co-operation deals or concessional loans were among them.

Mr Zardari arrived in China on Tuesday on his first state visit abroad, and was received by his Chinese counterpart at Beijing's Great Hall of the People.

Both countries say they want to double bilateral trade by 2011.
