More corruption charges in B'desh

A court in Bangladesh has ordered the arrest of six former cabinet ministers on corruption charges.

An official said the arrest warrants were issued after the Anti-Corruption Commission filed charges against the former ministers.

The six were charged in a case involving former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and her younger son.

The case involves alleged corruption in the awarding of a container handling contract to a local company in 2003.

The six former ministers include Moulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, the head of the country's largest Islamic party, Jamaat-e-Islami. He was the industry minister in Ms Zia's government.
