Three more people have been arrested in Pakistan following security alerts in Islamabad and Rawalpindi earlier this month, police say.
The three are "the main suspects" in the case, they say.
Rockets and rocket launchers were found near key buildings in Islamabad three weeks ago.
There was also an explosion in a park near President Musharraf's home in nearby Rawalpindi. The government says Gen Musharraf was not a target.
The three new suspects were detained on Monday as a result of the questioning of eight people already in detention, police say.
Reuters news agency quotes police officer Sikandar Hayat as saying that one of the three new detainees was the son of a retired army brigadier.
Police also said the three had links to an outlawed militant group and had brought rockets from a tribal area.
But they did not reveal the name of the group.
Pakistani nationals
Earlier this month Interior minister Aftab Sherpao refused to deny or confirm reports that some of the eight original suspects were army officers.
He said they were Pakistani nationals who had links with the al-Qaeda network.
Two rockets and a rocket launcher were found close to the parliament building in Islamabad on October 5.
Hours earlier, a small explosive device was detonated in a park close to the president's home in nearby Rawalpindi.
On October 7, two more rockets were discovered near the headquarters of the ISI intelligence agency in Islamabad.
