This year's Indira Gandhi prize for peace, disarmament and development has been awarded to the founder of Bangladesh's Grameen Bank, Muhammad Yunus.
It's to honour his work to alleviate poverty in Bangladesh.
Muhammad Yunus first established the bank in Chittagong to help underprivileged villagers, allowing them to gain enough credit to start small businesses.
The Indian president, K R Narayanan, told Mr Yunus his work had encouraged other similar projects throughout the world.
