'Killer father' shot in custody

Mohammad Ashraf Pakistani police say a man who killed his three daughters has been shot dead in police custody.

Mohammad Ashraf is reported to have cut the throats of his three young daughters while they were asleep.

Later he gave himself up at a nearby police station where police say he was shot dead during questioning.

Police say he was shot by an officer who could not control his emotions after hearing how the father had killed his children.

The constable was then arrested on murder charges.
