The talks in Delhi were expected to focus on the tensions between Pakistan and India over Kashmir, although Mr Hoon gave no details about the discussions.
Speaking after yesterday's meeting with his Indian counterpart, George Fernandes, Mr Hoon said that infiltration into Indian controlled-Kashmir remained a matter of great concern.
He said that in earlier talks with the Pakistani leader, General Pervez Musharraf, he had emphasised the importance Britain attached to controlling such infiltration.
While in Islamabad, Mr Hoon also met the head of Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI.
