In pictures: Afghan refugee misery


Tens of thousands of Afghan refugees are still fleeing the US-led air-and-ground campaign in south-eastern Afghanistan as the coalition closes in on Kandahar.

While development agencies meet in Islamabad to plan the reconstruction of Afghanistan, many of its citizens face more immediate challenges.
