The husband of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, has been formally indicted in Switzerland on money-laundering charges.
A judge in Geneva Daniel Devaud said the indictment against Miss Bhutto's husband, Asif Zardari, was issued a few days ago, and Miss Bhutto herself would be charged as soon as procedural questions were cleared up.
Last October, the Swiss authorities said they had found more than thirteen million dollars in bank accounts in the name of Miss Bhutto, her mother and her husband.
Mr Zadari has been in jail in Pakistan on a variety of fraud and corruption charges since his wife's dismissal from the post of Prime Minister in 1996.
On Thursday a court in Pakistan issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Bhutto after she failed to appear in court in Lahore on unrelated corruption charges.
